Christoph Hasche studied law at the Universities of
Tuebingen, Munich and Hamburg before he completed his German legal state
exams. In 1980 he joined the law firm, which called Taylor Wessing, was
admitted to the Hamburg Bar in 1982 and graduated as Dr. jur. in 1985 before
becoming partner in 1986. He had previously worked as a trainee with US law
firms in New York, San Francisco, New Orleans, London and Washington, D.C.. |

Christoph Hasche is
specialised in shipping and transportation law. His professional activities
are focussed on comprehensive legal advice and contentious matters for
German and foreign companies from the shipping and trading industries. He
concentrates on assisting clients from the maritime industry in their
day-to-day business and on major arbitrations and court cases. His
experience includes ship financing and the development of complex logistics
contracts. Land transportation, marine insurance and the law of tourism at
sea are all included in his areas of expertise. Christoph is Head of the
Commercial and the Shipping Practice Departments of our firm. |

Christoph Hasche is
member and Deputy Chairman of the German Maritime Arbitration Association,
the International Bar Association, the German Association of International
Maritime Law, the London Maritime Arbitration Association, the German
Nautical Association and the German Association for Travel Law.
As a pro bono activity, Christoph Hasche is the Secretary General of the
Hamburg Society of Lawyers and an honorary judge at the Hamburg Disciplinary
Court for the legal profession. Furthermore, he is Chairman of the Board of
a retirement home and a Member of the Advisory Board of the German Offshore
Sailing Association "Hansa" (DHH). |
